New player looking for a "Babies 1st wargame"

Hello! Played with TAOW 4 on my own for a bit, Like it on principle but don't understand the game that well, and its hampering my enjoyment greatly, as is the AI and PO. Would a human player with a little bit of time on their hands be wiling to guide me into this? Or at the least play a small/medium scenario with me?

I know I ask a lot for a new video game player but I have some burning questions as well as some interests in getting more into this game. Prospective opponent and/or teachers can pick the scenario as long as its not TO hard or complex, I understand the combat principles of MOST time periods represented in this game and would be willing to do a moment of research on the rest.
