How to change the map?

Post by Capt Cliff »

I have found that the campaign map is wrong. There is no river road that runs from Dasburg to Ouren. There is one running south from Dasburg but not north. Google Map Dasburg and you can see there is no road. The area around Ouren is to simplified as well.

How can I change the map? Is there a tutorial on map building?

You are right, added to the list !
Thanks for reporting !

For the map editor i suggest first made a simple 10x10 hexes map and than draw some road, river.....to learn the use of the mouse buttons !

Than you can load and mod any map, be careful to save with a different name.
Than you load the scenario go to simply editor and load the new map, don't overwrite the VP on map, and save the scenario with a new name !

I found a way to change the map but now I have a problem. I uploaded the new map and now the scenario won't run. When I click continue at the card assignment windoe I get an Over Flow Error: Here are the details ... Any help would be appreciated I spent a lot of time on this scenario. I did a debug on the scenario but no joy.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Re: How to change the map?

By the way I was able to load my new map into a previously save scenario file and it does run. But I may have hit yes for the VP overwrite on my most recent scenario. Is there anyway I can save this most current scenario version?

Can I move tables from one scenario to another? If so how do I do it? Export csv then import it to the new scenario?

I was able to use a previously saved scenario, my Rev A. My Rev B was the one that got corrupted. I uploaded the new map into the Rev A save and renamed it Rev C. I was then able to download all the tables I changed from the corrupted scenario save and uploaded them into the scenario Rev C. It seems to be ok, it runs and I'll test it out this morning.

Now if we can get the Airborne HQ movement rate fixed when loaded on trucks to work correctly everything would be fine.
