Goormorning,
I love the free text idea.
regards GJ
In fact, I just noticed that you can actually use the Mission Name field as a free text zone ! The field is not limited in characters so you can write a lot of litterature in it like "AAW north. This mision is entended to bla bla bla and must be followed by bla bla bla", and the text will stays To read it later, just put your cursor back in the Mission Name field (where you can change the name) and move it to the right till the end of the text.
A nice hack

Being able to plot lines and circles, beyond just reference points.
Otherwise it needs to be a mission to be able to use it as a line.
Have bearings and distances of such geometries, would make it much easier to plot intercepts and make time and distance estimates.
+1
A drawing tool would be great !

A couple of things I noticed in my very first hours:
- When in game, opening the Side Briefing opens in an "Edit" mode, meaning I cannot open links by clicking on them and there's the risk I accidentally change the briefing itself. A Read Only mode would be great, I like to keep my briefing open while I try to figure out stuff
- Apparently, there's no easy way to get to the loadout details (e.g. range, attack profile, etc.) from the sidebar when a friendly air unit is selected. Sure I could open the DB entry and scroll down to find the loadout in use, but often that list contains something like 20+ entires and it could take a while to find the correct one
In the EDITOR, when changing proficiency, it would be great if it was possible to mass-edit units by selecting several units at once and modify proficiency. It's becoming hard to edit proficiency on large scenarios with plenty of units in it. Also a hot key would help ...
I know you can edit it for the whole side but what I need is to modify proficency for just some units (e.g. I want +/- 20% veterans and a few aces and a few cadets)
Thank you.

I tried both shift-selecting and lassoing a group of units. I chose a combination of aircraft and ships. I went into unit orders and then scenario editor and then set proficiency. I set the proficiency to Ace. Clicked away from the units and then clicked back on them. The proficiency was changed to Ace for all the units. Reversed the process and was able to set back to Regular. Is that what you are looking to do?
As I'm playing with more deployed units in scenarios, I find being able to maintain awareness of what each unit is doing can become an action item in itself.
I would love to be able to classify according to mission, or loadout or type, and then filter out what's displayed on the main map. That way, I could see where my strike aircraft are on their approaches, see if my patrols are well covered, and get a good overview of enemies.
I like to name my groups with Alpha codes, so they are sorted in the OoB view, and change names according to zone, role and even when RTB.. Would like to have that available for a map filter.
This could also be an and/or with a color coded view of air asset types in the map

Yes. I was doing it from the OOB screen and multiple selection was not possible. This way works. Thank you.

In fact it works for ground units but not for pilots at the base (don't see how to change prof from air operations window for multiple units). So if I want to change proficiency for some pilots before they take off, I have to do it one-by-one in the OOB screen, which is quite a pain.

This is a small thing but it ends up taking up a fair bit of time when I play larger scenarios. I would like the mission editor default setting to NOT be having the box for enforce flight size (etc.) to be selected. If missions have been already created I will hope to remember to always go through them one by one and uncheck that box. When I create missions (which I do a lot), I will hope to remember to always uncheck that box. If I forget to do that, it can cause me to need to go back in time, as I'll often assign groups with different numbers of aircraft to the same mission, for various reasons. I have meant to post about this before, as I can't understand why that would be the default.
Another thing that I would like to see is a way, from the Side Doctrine / EMCON settings screen, a way to manually tell all missions to either inherit the side doctrine or not (so that when editing sensor settings for missions and units I don't have to verify that it's OK to violate side doctrines, etc.).
As far as I can tell, if I select units from a neutral side and prepare a strike mission against those units, it turns the side hostile immediately. I'd like that not to happen until the strike is actually launched.

But what if they have spies in your general staff, and get informed of the attack. You first need to do some counter espionage,

Maybe I should request espionage / counter espionage be added as a feature? Nah...
In the editor, when adding planes and assigning call signs automatically, it would be nice if there was a warning when a call sign is duplicate so that the scenario creator can change it manually. On a large scen, I took all the callsigns automatically generated and I noticed many of them are duplicated.

If you keep the mission inactive, it will not change the neutrality. And activate the mission when you want or with an event.
It is pretty self explanatory as to why this display and sorting of saved games by their Hash numbers is not exactly user friendly.
Hashes are great for internal storage, but not very handy to display. A date and time, would be just as unique and easy to implement and display.

Don't know if this has been suggested before, but a way to copy and clone groups would be awesome. Making many large, custom ground or ship formations over and over for hundreds of units can get kind of tedious (Especially if you have OCD and every unit has to be evenly spaced and spread out lol)...
Hi everyone.
Is there a way that Infantry and other ground units can be actually loaded onto transports and moved and dropped off. The teleporting of units from somewhere else when a transport unit arrives at a given point is a little odd and does not allow for flexibility or frankly realism.
If you get a hot LZ there is no option to choose a tactical alternate at short notice given the tactical situation.
Of all the great realism in the game the treatment of Air and Sea landings seems a little ad hoc.
