Italian Mountain units

Post by generalfdog »

I think Italian Mountain should be reduced to 20 strength, as they are they are so much better then anything else Italy has that many players buy almost nothing else for Italy, and it's kinda weird when there are 6 Italian mountain units defending in the desert of Libya.

Sure but all the more reason to reduce the size, which doesn't make them any less elite, usually elite are in smaller formations. Also elite should be ALL somebody builds

I kind of think there should be force pool limits on some of these units

I would also prefer that. At 20 strength, not sure I would till bother buying them. But honestly, most (huge majority) of my Italian infs are normal infs because most Italian infs have to defend ports and that is not realistic with mountain infs (would cost way too much).

It used to be 20 strength.

The Italian army was pretty useless with the exception of a few units. They had poor equipment, poor morale between officers and soldiers, and under equipped. They were a crappy army.

The soldiers themselves were just fine but hampered by all of the above.

If players want to expend their pps on Mtn Units they can. I usually build them as garrisons and air power.

It's going to be ok, just keep the frontal assaults coming please

PS Imagine if I built some landing craft and landed behind those British units...

I'm not playing you, I'm playing generalfdog. Opponent psychology is half the game.
