Amphibious transport for Soviet

Post by Jeff_Ahl »

I have tried to transport divisions from Crimea to besieged Odessa and from Syasstroy to besieged Leningrad area. Why is it not possible to dis-embark in the harbours? In the Leningrad-case there is no enemy adjecent to either port of destination or port of origin.

Probably because either you do not have enough SMPs to disembark, or the port does not have sufficient capacity to unload the unit. Do you have a save? If not, note your SMPs when you are trying to unload, and when you are in F3 mode (naval transport mode), what number is in the middle of the anchor symbol that appears in the port hex? That number is the amount of unloading capacity in thousands. A rifle division only costs a few thousand cargo points so that is likely not the issue unless the port has been bombed to near max damage.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Ähum...a bit embarrasing. Pushed the wrong button. F4 instead of F3, thanks for the answer any way.
