Rail repair

Post by canuckgamer »

In both versions of the manual (in game and from forum link) on page 49 - 11.4 Logistics it indicates the countries that practice scorched earth such as Russia and Germany. It then says:

"Rail is repaired at a rate of 3 hexes per turn if the map supply is 5 or higher"

In one of the updates I thought the number of rail hexes repaired per turn was reduced to 2? Historically the Russian rail gauge was different than western Europe and I thought that the conversion of rail in Russia was reduced to 2. In other words, they didn't even need to destroy their rail lines because they were a different gauge.

Please clarify the number of rail hexes repaired/converted per turn in Russia. Are they the same thing? Thanks.

Thanks, we are just starting a 1939 campaign game and I am hoping the 2 rail hexes per turn along with the change in overruns and the winterization of the Siberian reinforcements will give the Russians a fighting chance.

Our last two PBEM games resulted in the Axis taking everything in the east.
