HELP Luftflotte 2 has gone !

I`m playing 41-45 campaign (no early end) its December 41 and Luftflotte 2 does NOT appear in the Air phase or anywhere else.

Have I accidentally deleted it ??? ( Can one do this.... ?

Please advise on how to get it back. I cannot see it on the reinforcements page.

Somewhen the LW2 disappears.

Officially it was relocated to Sicily / Southern Italy to see to the 'Malta' problem as in Russia the Winter struck.

That is one of the problem of the game, with how the AOG and Squadrons are handled.
It happened historically - so the player must deal with it. But by how the game has its architechture, all of your Air Directives, squadrons and whatnot will shift in associations - I am not sure if they get deleted, or how they get 'assigned' to other Luftflottes, or AoGs and the like.

It creates pratically an unnecessary complication that forces the player to go through an amount of hassle.

Later you will get a Luftkommando Ost or something like that to replace the Luftflotte 2. But for a while the Luftwaffe will be reducted to 2 'armies'.

In general the issue is just how the whole air war was designed - and these transfers of 'administrative labels' (which are exactly what AoGs are here) only makes the life of a player worse.

Yeah I know what you mean. Never been a fan of the new air war. The idea behind it is fine but its really fiddly for the player, The WITE1 air war was simple but effective.

You can circumvent the exodus of Luftflotte 2 if you are playing with "Enhanced Player TB Control" enabled.

Even with it enabled, it is still rather tedious to go AOG-by-AOG and unit-by-unit to clear the scripted transfer orders.

You have to make sure you clear both the AC and the AOG it belongs to, or an AOG may suddenly dump all of its AC and take off on you.

I've asked for a scenario with no disbands and the like - migrations may do as well to be removed if a player has TB set.

I ran into this problem as well. As someone stated before you have to manually cancel the withdrawal, else it will disappear. You can bring it back to the map but for some reason i could not attach any AOGs to the Luftflotte anymore. I had to revert back to an old save sadly.
