Hm, first I installed it (without any problems) on Drive E: (which is my biggest HDD), but it was the same as reported above. Then I moved the files to the game-directory (which is on C:), but it was the same. :(

But I don't know what "my AV app" could be - what do you mean exactly ? ... However the Mod Maker could be started without problems or error-messages - but after that I just don't see anything else than this black window:

.... but isn't there a config-file in the install, too ? Maybe I need to change some sttings. ?

EDIT: But I haven't tested the new version, yet. - Do I need to de-install the old version beforehand ?

Sceen res is 1920x1080 (recommended/native)... and I also tried the new version - with admin-rights on E: and on C: - same result + still no logs / error-messages. :(

Ok, thanks in advance. :) - And I'll try to "create an exception for the installation path" tomorrow (and will try to run it without my AV (I think I know now what you mean). ;)

Ok, I disabled my AV completely, tried evrything from C:, or other Drives with admin-rights, etc. - but still no joy - same black window and no logs, or whatever. :( - The problem must be something else, I guess. ;-)

Would it help to give you some additional info about my sxstem (like e.g. a DxDiag, or something - I have AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3.80 GHz, 16,0 GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphic card on a 64-Bit WIN10) ?

EDIT: Oh, and I have Start10 from Stardock (Steam-version) active, too. - Could this cause any problems ?

I prepared a trial version for you in which I removed creating an error log so it should show an error when it occurs.

Paste the files directly into the installation folder an overwrite existing files. Hope this gives some clues!
Oh, wow, that's some kind of MEGA-Support - thank you a thousand-times. :D

However I'm sorry, Eventure - I tried everything you suggested (and used the special trial version), still with the same result: a black window and no logs. :cry:
(But I'm not quite sure, I did everything right (?) - what "path settings" should I edit in particular ? - So far, I only edited "BackupPath" and "ModSaveLocation" - is this right :?:
Also, I couldn't reinstall the framework, because Windows told me that I've already installed ver. 4.6.1. or higher. :? )

But this time the installation was on drive D: for default :) - didn't you say, you can't change this ?

Ok, I tried the new trial-version, too - but still same result. :cry:

Hm - with this version (0.5.3) something changed (even for me :| ):

I didn't only get a completely black window, but this:

... seems like the loading started, but couldn't finish - it's spinning without end. :?
- And when I close the window it doesn't close the app, too - so, I always have to disable it with the task-manager. :(

However, when I give the tool all admin-rights there still is only the black window, and when I close it, the app is disabled, too. :|

... and still NO LOGS whatsoever :cry:

Well, I used this (and all other versions), too, but the result was always the same. :?

... BUT I also asked my son to look after it and finally .... IT WORKS !! (and with all other versions, too) :mrgreen:

The problem was the dpi-scalling (which caused the buttons on the right side to be placed outside the interactive window; - if you need details or some help with it, I can ask my son again and he'll contact you or write in the forum. ;) ) ! But when I disable dpi-scalling in the properties of the exe-file the buttons and everything else is shown and usable, like it should (even an ErrorDebug-log is now created correctly - if there are errors, that is). :D

However it would be nice to get this to work, without setting the dpi-scalling for each version of the exex-file. - Maybe you can do this ? (my son tried to do it with a manifest-file, but it didn't work properly. :| ) - I have a general desktop-scalling and also a text-scalling of both set to 125%, normally. ;)

But there still is a little remaining (display-) isssue (with all versions). The text of some buttons, etc. doesn't fit in the given text-spaces (even without any scalling / all values set to 100%):

I know that this should look a bit different / include some "invisible" texts on the buttons, since my son showed me how it looks like on his PC. ;)

BTW: If you're German (like me), too - or if you can speak the languge we could also chat/exchange some things in German (if you like). ;)

Schön, dass wir jetzt auch eine einfachere Möglichkeit gefunden haben uns auszutauschen. :)
(allerdings weiß ich nicht so recht, ob es gut ist, das hier im Forum (ausschließlich) zu tun, da einige andere dann ja damit (/mit der Übersetzung) Probleme haben könnten... Hatte noch gar nicht bemerkt, dass die überhaupt angelegt werden (lol) - aber hattest Du nicht gesagt, dass man Dein Tool nicht deinstallieren, sondern nur den jeweilige Ordner löschen muss ? - Hab daher jetzt zig Desktop-Verknüpfungen und weiß gar nicht mehr welche, für was war. :? :lol:

Übrigens war das mit der Skalierung nicht das einzige Problem bei mir. Zusätzlich wurden die Config-Einstellungen ja nicht geladen, was aber offensichtlich tatsächlich an den Benutzer-Rechten in dem jeweiligen Ordner lag (was lt. meinem Sohn auch die Generierung der Log-Dateien verhindert hat). - Daher würde er Dir empfehlen, die Exe in einen speziellen Ordner zu packen (wenn das Ganze schon auf C: installiert werden musss), welchem man dann die entsprechenden Rechte geben kann (wofür aber evtl. noch eine kleine Anleitung für Rechte-Laien (wie z.B. mich) notwendig wäre).
Den Hinweis mit den Admin-Rechten findet er hingegen zu unsicher und würde nicht empfehlen, das generell zu verwenden.
Außerdem könntest/solltest Du stattdessen die %APPDATA%-Ordner im Benutzer-Profil verwenden, da diese i.D.R. mehr Rechte bereitstellen (nur als Tipp ;-)).
