CV CAP again

Post by ncc1701e »

Just doing a land combat to try to capture Rabaul.

I am seeing, in the report, that the 3rd Air Div did a ground support against my men.
The thing is no carrier based planes were in the air to intercept.

But I had a CV task force of 3 CV ready just southeast of the Australian unit. And it was still with one operation point. I am sure of this because after the combat, I did resupply the Australian unit and, as such, I did consume this operation point.

So, where is the Air to Air combat?

Another thing, USA has now jungle specialty so the Jungle x1,33 bonus in defense is not lowered?

Thanks

We covered this before. There is no CV cap in the game due to the structure of CV formations where 1/3rd of the players are fighters. It is basically considered a bomber

Yes that's why I say "again". I have difficulties to understand it. OK so CV is a bomber, CV is a bomber. :)
Crossing fingers for WP2.

I think what was confusing me if that, for auto protection, they are indeed flying.

They protect the fleet if attacked. But they don't intercept over land.

If that was the case someone could just suck up the air of the CV then bomb the crap out of it
