Only telegraphic:
USS Skipjack set fire to the Japanese cargo ship AK Toei Maru near Formosa
The Japanese stopped liking my raids on Oosthaven and sent A6M2. Unfortunately, they did not run out of aviation fuel.
The Japanese occupied Sandakan in Borneo
19 ships began rebuilding. Mostly it is a replenishment of anti-aircraft equipment.
Today air losses (J:A): 3:10

The Japanese moved more battleships to Pearl Harbor. Currently, they shoot every day in the group 4BB, 4CA. I don't think it has a big effect. After a very long time, Singapore experienced several air raids. The damage is minimal and the anti-aircraft defense shot down 6 aircraft. A ground attack ensues, but even today the Japanese did not break through. My defense dropped to 264 AV. In a moment, Singapore will be defended only by Indian chefs and British radio operators. Hope it will be enough.

The Japanese occupied Kolaka (Celebes)
Today air losses (J:A): 9:1

The Japanese are trying to cut off Sian during February. Today, they crossed the river north of the city, but the Chinese defenses hold. I will try to strengthen it, but the terrain is not suitable for defense. I admit that I do not understand the transfer of supplies in detail, but I will hope that it will not be ideal across off-road terrain.Ground combat at Singapore (50,84)

The Japanese Ki-43 regularly patrol the Swebo. I decided to check the quality of the Japanese pilots. Likewise, the Japanese are attempting to bomb troops north of Sian. We can't let that be liked.

Today, the Japanese have launched a long-awaited invasion of Oahu. I can't judge what it's like to land against such a fortified target, but cargo ships seem to be disposable.

US aircraft carriers have arrived in the Frigate Shoals area because they want to check the supply of Japanese positions in Hawaii. He will miss those xAKs, but I note that none of them had any troops aboard. I feel that is exploiting the Japanese landing bonus to attack the Hawaiian Islands so soon - no prep and unload in one phase. But maybe the loss of supply will mean he takes PH but his troops become imprisoned on the island ...

That is a lot of xAK that will not be hauling resources to Home Islands...
I am also surprised all those IJN units landed on Pearl are small, no full Divisions at all. Not sure if this make them recover faster though... AS the US, you can have 2 full INF divisions there right?
Can you use your carriers to interfere with the landing itself?

Japanese aircraft carriers were at Borneo about 10 days ago. Now they will be no further than Truk. I still have a few days to hunt. For several days, intelligence reported that the 52nd Division was sailing to Midway. I expect it to move on, but I've caught either empty AKs or supplies.
I don't want to interfere directly in PH, because I would destroy the air force and risk damaging my aircraft carriers. There are about 200 aircraft on Lahaina, most of which are ground types, but Bettys can move in a few days.
I'm more surprised that Palmyra, Johnston and Midway are occupied and there is no survey anywhere. I arrived from the south without being noticed.
I don't know why he has divided units. In my opinion, it is more advantageous to divide entire divisions, or divide the division into sections A, B, C.

PH has fortification level 4, 100k supplies and units of about 800 assault value. We'll see on the first attack, but I think he needs to land another. The 4th Division is on Hilo and the 52nd Division reports intelligence on the move to Lahaina. But I don't know where the convoy is.

The Japanese are landing more troops on Oahu today. These are the 4th and 52nd divisions. Unfortunately, I missed it and the aircraft carriers were a few days late. It was necessary to refuel. 2 AKs hit a mine, 6 AKs, 3 DMS and DD Satsuki are damaged by coastal artillery.
Aircraft from aircraft carriers still sink 2 AK and another 3 AK and DD Sanae are damaged.
Japanese units in PH. Current strength 2191:731

The Japanese send fighters over Sian against two AVG squadrons in order to gain air supremacy. They are not doing well yet and even today the score is 8: 3. They lose other planes in the attacks on Singapore. Total score 19: 3. I am satisfied.

Immediately after landing, the Japanese attacked Oahu. They broke through the first fortifications, but I think the losses are large enough to be quiet for at least a week.
Radio intelligence intercepted a report from Rossel Island. I'm sending a nearby TF for reconnaissance.

The Japanese attack Singapore again and again they did not even manage to get to a 1: 1 ratio. Since I've been moving combat-ready units to Palembang for several days now, so that I can still use them wisely, it's a surprise. The chefs are fighting like lions. I put together three days because there is nothing to write about.
The Japanese fire PH battleships every day
Air battles are taking place over Sian and Swebo.
The 38th Division and the 21st Independent Mixed Brigade moved 1 hex from Palembang.
Air losses (J:A): 21:5

Today, the active Japanese are mainly on the ground. The defenders of Singapore are reflecting another attack. Again, it's not even 1: 1, although I withdrew a significant part of the troops to Palembang.

The whole map is almost calm. Only the USS Sculpin torpedoed near Amboina AP Hakozaki Maru carrying some units. The ship is probably damaged. Japanese aircraft carriers arrive at Port Moresby on the last day of February and sink a small supply convoy.
Another attack on PH. Again, one fortress is reduced, but the Japanese losses are another 5,000 men. A total of 20,000 men have been eliminated from the fight.
There are 20:17 aircraft losses these days

Re: Defeat into Victory - Godefroy(A) vs Deaniks(J) - no Deaniks please
Summary February 1942
Burma / India
The situation in the area is relatively clear. The Japanese have occupied southern Burma and are now moving in three directions. The main forces go centered on Swebo, other units then advance along the coast to Akyab, and one tank regiment occupies Lashio and apparently prepares to advance to Myitkyna.
I do not want to strengthen Burma too much, although I do not currently believe that the Japanese will try to invade India. Burma is not very important to me and I will save troops.

Malaya
I did not expect this area to be on the report list. Singapore is still British and the Japanese are unable to cope with its defense. I think his troops are tired of repeated attacks. Defender forces are already at least about 200 AV. Everything that could be moved was flown to Palembang.

DEI
Not much is happening here either. In Sumatra, the Japanese approached Palembang and I do not know what the plan is. The 38th Division and the 21st Independent Mixed Brigade are identified as large units. I don't think these forces have a chance to conquer the base. There are ready and rested units in fort 3 and about 60,000 tons of supplies.
The invasion fleet is now approaching Java. Intelligence reports that the 21st Division is to land in Kalidjati and the 6th Guards Division in Semarang. We'll see what the reality is. For the whole of February, the Japanese gained only two bases in the DEI on the way to Palmbang. There is no activity.

Philippines
The Japanese advanced to Clark Field without a fight, where they waited and only bombed the base. Manila was left to the enemy without a fight to save the civilian population.

Australia/SWPac
There is no activity here either. The Japanese occupy the undefended islands between Guadalcanal and Noumea, but otherwise take no action. Aircraft carriers have reappeared at Port Moresby, and we'll see if it's just a raid or another invasion attempt. The units were further strengthened, and units from New Britain were withdrawn here. There is enough stock, so we have to wait.

Pacific
The Japanese landed in Pearl Harbor and attacked three times in 14 days. They managed to reduce the fortifications from level 4 to 1, but in my opinion they suffered very heavy losses. The immediate vicinity of Hawaii is occupied by the enemy. I will only hold the Noumea - Suva - Pago Pago - Tahiti line so that I can send convoys with troops and supplies to Australia.
China
The front lines in China have stabilized and the only fighting is taking place around Sian. Unfortunately, the terrain here is not very good for defense, but so far the Japanese advance has been stopped. His troops bypass Sian and try to cut him off from the north. It seems to me that enough troops are tied to the front and there is a possibility to cut off the Japanese troops. We'll see how the situation develops, but other troops march on the front from Chunking.
I will definitely not attack yet. I don't think the Japanese have power in more than one direction in China. He buys a large number of units and sends them to the Pacific.

Quiet Southern China

Overall, I am very satisfied. In February, I inflicted heavy losses on the Japanese, at sea, in the air and on land, which is a great result in February 1942. I think he has forces fragmented in many places and nowhere is he able to gain a rapid advantage and conquer the area so that he can move on. I hope to be able to keep him in Palembang and Hawaii for as long as possible, and at the end of March these bases will still be allied.

Given how much strength he sent to conquer the Hawaiian Islands, it is not surprising he is making slow progress in the other usual areas. At some point the strategic importance of the DEI/Southern Resource Area will force him to pull back his strength to get it firmly under his control. Hawaii does not have so much importance for the Japanese.

He withdrew at least 4 divisions from the continent, which is a relatively large force and equal to what is in Hawaii. It surprises me that it does not conquer the territory gradually, but it is landed in many places. However, I don't mind
