Yes TRav, Singapore will always be messy. There is no way to hold it and I refuse to even contemplate evacuating.
So, the troops must do the best they can and die.

A Japanese DA at Tsiaotso and I am not sure I will be able to hold it.

Tsiaotso is producing 80 supply per day now and I would like to keep getting it longer.
He is starting to move to cut off Chengchow so I will have to abandon that base.
Loyang will also have to be abandoned. Chengchow produces 90 supply per day and I hate
to give it up, but it is in clear terrain and can be cut off so I will have to let it go.
Loyang produces 40 supply per day and again it is in clear terrain and can be cut off, so I
will let it go also.

I was just done back then - the worst issues were resolved by the patches we were issued.
After years focusing on conquering Australia, New Zealand....India there were simply no challenges left.
I'm a dawg for challenges, and sitting idle in 45-46 with the Boeing family hitting half the map wasn't really something I'd fancy.

So when I get time I may give it a try again, in the new versions.
Maybe I will play the Guadalcanal scenario in a historical manner just to re-live the most exciting period of the Pacific War again

Edit: But dang Mike, we go all the way back to the good ole UV days. So maybe we should have a go at where it all started one day

Who is Mike? Not me. I thought UV was a great game. Detailed but not too big. A remake of UV would be interesting. I looked and it is 20 years old now.

Beaufort is lot today. Another Battalion arrived in Palembang today, we will see what he left there.

He is finally bombing the airfield at Singapore, slowing my fort building, but not stopping it.

Nice to see you post again PzB. I wasn't around here when you were still playing, but I did read some of your AARs when I started playing. I think you will find the general quality of both the game (with it's updates) and the skills of the established players (much more experience) have gone up significantly over time.

- and thanks DesertWolf, you're probably right in that.
After soon 20 years the game has probably been analyzed to the ground. Some of the charm about jumping in from the start is that there is virgin ground and no established doctrines. As time passes these doors of opportunities slowly close through updates and refined tactics based on experience.

B-17Es attacked the oil at Palembang, looks like no hits. But it looks like he lost 2 Nates, 1 to air-2-air and 1 to ops.

What I don't understand is tracker says he lost a Zero in air-2-air, but I do not show any conflict with Zeros.
However, it is possible that a PBY might have shot down a Zero somewhere.

He landed and took Ontong Java. He landed at Tulagi.
Samarinda fell today.

B-17Es night bombed the oil at Palembang, but no hits. I did lose one bomber to flak.
It looks like the has moved in some heavy flak( the units show up on the ground combat report, but I can not see
what devices they have). I will shift to night bombing the oil at Samarinda. Maye there are not a lot
of fighters on night duty and the flak could be less. A damaged oil is a damaged oil.

Tulagi changed sides without a fight

The one thing the defenders did do was to make him move a lot of troops there, take time and take some losses.

sank them all.

B-17Es tried again to bomb the oil at Balikpapan, but failed to hit anything. They will stand down
