Re: Godzilla {J: Andav} vs. Rodan {A: witpqs}
I think the Shinden's are mainly on night CAP. I don't remember see too many fighting the sweeps. Hopefully they will be destroyed or damaged by the B-24 raids so the B-29 strikes the following night get an easier time.

Re: Godzilla {J: Andav} vs. Rodan {A: witpqs}
Those border forts do not have great AA capability. I bombed them for a couple of weeks before attacking, but that was when I had the whole war to work with. You can't wait that long, but you can hurt them before you attack with LCUs. I found the Russian OM and BM artillery the best means of smashing the forts.
No matter how bad a situation is, you can always make it worse. - Chris Hadfield : An Astronaut's Guide To Life On Earth

Re: Godzilla {J: Andav} vs. Rodan {A: witpqs}
The air war is what really talks to me....I think the losses are low, given the date, and also in Japans favor!
Can you talk a little about the airwar over the course of the war? What worked and what didn't for you and Japan....
Thanks!

Re: Godzilla {J: Andav} vs. Rodan {A: witpqs}
Our air casualties tend to run lower. I usually have an advantage there and I did for mot of this game. Lately I've been using air power on ground attacks, and spending it on heavily defended ground positions. Of course the B-29 losses often occur in the dozens per day when hitting heavily defended strategic targets, and at 2 points per 4EB (IIRC) that adds up too.

• Lopei will be seized tomorrow.
• River-crossing against Kotou within the next several days.
• River-crossings against Heiho and Sunwu underway.
• 631 AV at Shikuka. Need good recon before assaulting. Given the IJN local supremacy we would have a hard time getting reinforcements to Sakhalin. I would prefer to have aerial recon so the Imperials do not get intel from that as to our strength on the ground. A rifle division will begin marching from Okha but with 3 hexes through trackless forest that will take some time.
• Some small Soviet tankers will try to get oil from both Petropavlovsk and Okha to Komsomolsk.
• Loading for the for Home Islands targets is going well.

• Soviet tac air will make it's first appearance against defenders at Hailar tomorrow.
• Other movements as previously noted.
• We will soon have oil laden tankers moving upriver to Komsomolsk.
• We have 3x LST at Nikolaevsk, although of decadent western design they still might serve a purpose. A tank unit is moving up there from Sovetskava Gavan, and the LST's will transport it to Alexandrovsk. From there the tanks will aid in the siege of Shikuka.
• 350 AV at Wasu. Assault tomorrow.
• The last assault units for the main HI-1 target, Kanoya (second wave target), are now loading at Hansa Bay. All units for the other HI-1 targets (first wave targets) are underway.

I suspect your troops in Soochow will not do much to keep Singapore troops from escaping, because you meant Shanghai!

It's a travel papers scam. They are routing through Soochow and officials there refuse to cooperate so we have to send in troops.BBfanboy wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 4:56 am I suspect your troops in Soochow will not do much to keep Singapore troops from escaping, because you meant Shanghai!![]()
