[1.0.4.9] Survey already surveyed asteroids

Post by Thineboot »

I'm confused, green means that they are completely surveyed, there is nothing more to find. And still, after surveying the already completely surveyed JE150 - I watched the explorer approaching JE150 - the next target is another asteroid. And again, it's green, there is nothing more to do, right? Right?

Oh, btw, the whole asteroid belt is completely explored. And still the explorer is picking up more and more of these asteroids, moves there, takes 10 secs, and picks the next asteroid...

... and the explorer won't stop at one asteroid ring, now it's heading for a completely explored cluster in another system. I'm not sure how this will end...

Is it possible that the whole exploration part has been changed? Since when can Unknown Planets become targets for an exploration ship? And the system is unknown, too.

In an act of utter silliness, it seems that Green means explored to current capacity, not completely. Green should be reserved for survey level 100 ONLY. The AI may know, behind the scenes, that there is nothing to find there, and mark the system Green.

I have an older game where out of 2000 I have all but 200 some systems fully explored. The 90ish Explorers sitting idle that refuse to explore on auto. I have to manually find the unexplored items in the systems and handhold the explorers or they will only scan once and then go back to sleep.

I rechecked the surveying of JE150. All asteroids around Ignacia 3 were green. The asteroids with mining stations had surveying numbers of 60+, like planets and moons with stations get constantly more and more surveyed.

So what happened, why the additional survey for another 5 points that were not necessary? A new Advanced Survey Module with higher Survey Amount was used!

I haven't researched the upgrades, v2 and v3, but there is a Deep Survey Modul at the end and if this works the same way, the whole galaxy will be surveyed, again... The whole galaxy? No. There are only three asteroids surveyed at level 15, the rest of the belt are either still at 10 or over 100 where mining stations kept surveying.
