There is also the issue of some German players looking to 'balance' T1-16 as they never go outside that, when some of those changes could well seriously unbalance the longer game?

of the original list:

Generating ultra-high cv Soviet armoured formations in early 1941 sits on the border - its an exploit, its not WAD but at the least it comes at a cost.
I'm confused, how is this an exploit? AFAIK, this is done by just putting a refitting tank/mech division on a supply depot.
but not flak regiments that were supposed to be used in a cities, as far as i understand
This only applies to static flak regiments, I believe the motorized ones are fine to use in support roles.

There is a huge cost associated with trying to use the (static) Flak Regiments as a combat SU.

1. Each requires 1000 vehicle. OMG!

2. Each requires as much supplies as 1/2 a full infantry division per turn.

3. The German production system will not be able to replace excessive 88mm losses.

IMO, there should be no house rule against making stupid decisions - like assigning static Flak Regiments as SUs. Knock yourself out. :)

Here is another example using them. Hardly OP. Have yet to see them shred anything.

Assign two of them to an SS brigade and set it to reserve with an 8/9 initiative leader. Watch as the Soviets lose 10,000 men when you get a reserve reaction :D

are this screenshots when you are attacking or defending?
what patch are you using?

in 29beta i noticed that flak88 is very different from what it was in 27beta

i even asked if there were any changes to it
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 2#p5002632

the answer was no

thus it makes me think that maybe there were unintentional changes that Joel is not aware of or otherwise i have no idea why it is not performing like before

A lot of infantry and no art though. Wouldn’t majority of the infantry have been destroyed/destrupted before getting to range to fire. Can you show the combat fire of the soviets on that battle

I'm still not familiar with all the screens but it looks like the 1906 Rife Squards made it to 73 distance but only got 20HE hits in which would imply that most of them were destroyed/disrupted before firing.

Interestingly all Soviet artillery is firing from very long ranges whereas Axis is much closer (potentially doing more damage?). I suppose that part makes sense as it's Soviets that are advancing.
