Poll for unit handling in WP2

Post by AlvaroSousa »

While I am working on the WP2 engine I have kept the unit functionality the same. But I wanted to poll other options. Please think very carefully if you played a game similar to what you pick and how it felt.

#1 Keep unit toggling as is
...the LMB click through units stays as in WP1

#2 Button to choose land, air, or sea units like in WitE
...the 3 buttons would be in the menu to the right of the previous and next allowing you to select only land, only air, only naval like in WitE with hotkeys. Selecting the button will bring that unit type to the top of the stack.

#3 CNTL, ALT, SHIFT keys + LMB for selection.
...CNTL+LMB select the land unit, ALT+LMB selects the naval units, SHIFT+LMB selects the air unit. For example.

Something I would really like, for single hex island, is to merge a landed division with another one coming from naval transportation. Using CTRL + RMB but on top of a unit to merge it if rules allow.
