RU units in Axis Reserves at Romanian Surrender

V.1.02.25

Playing Axis against AI and within a few turns, Romania seems to change sides.
Have some Romanian units in Axis Reserves that were rebuilt after being destroyed in previous battles.
When will Romania surrender to the Soviets, and what will happen to the manpower and equipment of these units? Do squads convert to Axis Generic and equipment transferred to Germans as captured equipment? Is anybody tested this?
If it works, transfer all Romanian units to Axis Reserves just a few turns before they change sides?
