There are various how to's buried in past posts relating to doing this, have you tried using the advanced search feature of the newer forums that now works better than in the past?

One example I remember that covers generating a group of ships and adding some planes to the carrier that could easily be adapted and extended for your needs.

No, it's fine, the comment about searching is more to remind people now that new forum software produces better results (if you use advanced - where you can set better options vs default), ie it's now worth trying.
