Probably a major conspiracy. Or it was a beautiful Friday and the copy editor left early instead of reviewing the fine print. Either way, we should definitely make a thread complaining about a thing that doesn't cause anyone to do anything they don't want to.

For everyone angered and concerned about this: Don't buy the game if you don't like the price. Problem solved.

I am not upset, just very dissapointed that this happened. I've previously held Matrix in very high regard, but recently there has been a number of oddities and incidents around marketing and sales that have confused me, such the WitE2 sale mentioned here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3#p4922903
Having a single days sale on one item during a much bigger sale is bound to frustrate people.
As somebody mentioned earlier, it sometimes seems they don't actually want our money. Which is fine by me - I can find plenty of other things to use it for and I have plenty of Matrix games already - over 100 titles - which is more than a lifetmes worth when you include WitP and other such monsters.

Sorry to say, but there’s nothing in your posts that indicates calmness. Seems like you’re pretty fired up, dude…

All I’m going to say.

Lets ease off the hostility here guys...

The sale is the entire back catalogue, as is the case with every other sale. There was no intent to mislead, the person that designed the sale is Italian and English is a second language for them. One of those cases where a sentence was "technically correct" and wasn't caught.

We're sorry if we disappointed anyone.

Some of us remember the days when there never, ever was a sale at Matrix. In fact, I and many others bought everything full price in those days before Steam even existed. In fact, I estimate that at least 85% of my collection was had at full price.

I only bring this up to encourage those who have come later to the party and enjoyed years of sale prices. For a serious collector like myself, the difference is measured in thousands of dollars.

The confusion regarding the current sale is unfortunate. I was surprised myself when I first read the news, but I knew for sure based on experience the sale would never include newly-released items.

So, hooray to those who have saved hundreds of dollars in the more recent years, and I hope that is some consolation!

Earth, Hitler, 1938. (That's a quote too, but quotes don't hide what you say).

Okay then. I guess this board lost its sense of humor recently. I'll stick to the WiTP-AE forum from now on. Have a good day folks.

This is a clear violation of our posting policies. Consider this a warning.

I don't understand why people feel compelled to post snarky comments about people's legitimate concerns and complaints. Just baffling.
