I'm old fish.
What video mode should I enter?
Can this be changed later?

What is your desktop resolution?

Edit.

I would go with 1920x1080.

I think it will only show resolutions your monitor is capable of displaying so go with 1080.

Hi all,
Regarding video settings, will the game default to any desktop resolution including ultrawide?
eg. 3440 x 1440

Thanks
Huh?

It should default to your default desktop resolution in that list shown. The other options are just available if a player has an alternate preference for running the game at a different resolution.

I am still having the OLD problem I had with SC:WIE and WAW where I have to disable my font scaling in order to get the game to display properly
I have to turn off scaling, set the game setting at 1920X1080 then reenable scaling.

As nothing has really changed in that department on our end, it sounds like you might have to unfortunately do the same here

Thanks Hubert. I was just wondering if anything had been resolved. No big deal.

Sweet, I made it down the Yellow Brick Road.
Gonna play this puppy, soon.

FYI: You need to login 2nd time or something with Matrix login. Works, that's what counts.

Can always toggle video stuff later if I ain't happy by reinstall or something.

So, that’s a “yes” to ultrawide?

Anyone else running the game in ultrawide?
Huh?

Ultra wide is supported and works fine, same as with the previous games.

My main issue with ACW so far is that the scrolling feels absolutely terrible. It's super slow / sluggish and navigating via the mini-map feels pretty clumsy.

Is this a known problem?

Hi

If you go to Options -> Advanced it might be worth adjusting some of the settings under Map Text, particularly:

Hide Text During Map Scroll - I have that set to on.
Fade in Text After Scroll - I have that set to on.

I also have it set to 0 Scroll(s) Before Text Hides.

Hopefully these will help, and please let us know either way!

Thanks

Bill

In the SETTINGS screen there is also a 'Map Scroll Speed' setting that can be adjusted as well in case that helps.

Thanks for your reply! I disabled full screen instead which seemed to do the trick. (It basically looked like the game was running at like 5-10 fps before when scrolling, now it's as smooth as ever.)
