Why move SC ACW from the top of the new releases section

Strategic Command: American Civil War gives you the opportunity to battle for the future of the United States in this grand strategy game. Command the Confederacy in a desperate struggle for independence, or lead the Union armies in a march on Richmond.

Why move SC ACW from the top of the new releases section

Post by JWW »

of this forum one day after release? That doesn't make sense to me. It will be hard for some to find it buried now as a subforum of the Strategic Command forum. :?: :?: :?:

I agree... it was a poor decision. I thought it had been glitched, not buried.

Agree as well. I'm not much into the SC series, but I can't think of a much worse way to promote interest in a newly released game.

While I'm at it, since the new forums started why does every sub forum have an Announcements section inserted? These generally have nothing at all to do with the title being looked at, and serve as a bit of an annoyance and distraction. Just my opinion, and I'll concede that many people probably don't care about it one way or the other.

However, this decision to bury a newly released title is a head scratcher to me.

I agree as regards the announcement section in every forum. It is annoying and distracting to see the same thread titles in every forum I visit.

I agree completely and was shocked when I saw this. One day and it gets removed from new releases? Not sure who is running things, but they must have failed Marketing 101.

The lack of activity in this forum proves the vast majority of visitors to the forums have no idea the game has been released. I only found it because I specifically came to find the game, people simply checking into the forums will have no clue it's out. Very bad decision overall.

Its just wrong..I don't get it either. Yet the "Kill the Bugs" juvenile attempt of a 'wargame' takes top bill. 🙄

Yes agreed!

Promote the game! Leave it in new releases!!

Mind you, for many years I’ve found the matrix website a mish mash of poorly navigable pages……..and it always seems to take longer to load than other websites.

I agree. I've been looking forward to this since announcement. I've been struck by how little marketing there has been for this. For example Starship Troopers had much more coverage. Now I have to search for the forum for a game that has been out for a day. Fury Software deserves better.

This is the quietest I have ever seen the forum of a newly released StratCom game. The fact it has been folded back into the StratCom series section might explain that.

Hopefully it's something which admin resolves sooner rather than later

This game is not in the New Releases section of the forums, but Empires in Arms (released in 2007!) is.

It should be their top seller at the moment.
What a more than strange decision to hide the new release.

I also question the wisdom of having a massive sale on Civil War games when you introduce a new Civil War game for $35.

But hey its your business what do I know.
