Thank you Island. Excellent sources. I really liked the thousands of links provided by American Civil War High Command. Including a chronology day by day where you can click on each day during the war and discover details of what happened that day, wow.

I find the Digital Public Library of America to be an excellent source of information, on the Civil War and just about anything else. Here's a link:
