Beta patch .32 performance

Post by Jango32 »

Does anyone else who updated to the latest beta feel as if the responsiveness in-game has decreased? There seems to be a micro-delay of about 0.5, 1 second. Especially when clicking on a hex after some time has passed.

The mouse click doesn't always generate the "click sound" now for me.

That makes it, at least, feel slower.

In general, the sounds effect are hit & miss now

Yes there is definitely something wrong with the sound now. Not just the mouse click but sound effects too. It's quite annoying I posted in tech support so hopefully it gets looked at.
I have also now noticed the micro delay that Jango mentioned but it seems to be intermittent.

Can those of you noticing a performance reduction, please post your dxdiag. Thanks. We are planning on reverting the sound changes that were made that shuts down sound threads since it seems to impact some people in a bad way. We'd like to know more about your system specs. Pavel may figure out another change to make instead of simply reverting, but since the cure was worth than the disease, we may have to just do a revert.
