[Suggestion] Policy Settings: Colonies and Tax Rates

Post by Thineboot »

There are individual Population Policy For Colony and a button to Apply this policy to all colonies.

If you want to manage them yourself it's becoming a more and more difficult and foremost time consuming task.

Minimum Suitability for migration could be used as the default settings for Assimilate and Do Not Accept.
While suitability is based on race the basic suitability of any planet affects the actual suitability. Besides some colony events major changes happen with new colonization techs and terraforming. At some point it becomes just to much work to do it right without some general baselines. Going over and over and over all your colonies is fun for the first time but once you've figured out what you want - and that will differ from player to player - you just want to tell the system what you want... once, and not with every new colony and race and tech and terraforming over and over again.

Minimum Population to resettle could be used as the default setting for Resettle.
If you don't want to resettle automatically raise it to... what's the highest possible population?... or maybe add a no button.

It's just a mockup, a first draft, that came to my mind. I'm pretty sure this basic default population policy can be finetuned with input by others.

As I've said, this should just define a basic default population policy.

In a next step the whole Population Policy for Colony should be added to the Policy Settings: Colonies and Tax Rates. But this little adjustment could take away much micromanaging.
