ELO game ended OldAHGamer (Allies) vs Dvincera1980 (Axis)

Dvincera resigned Sept 43 after Allies had liberated n Africa, taken out Italy (and in Northern Italy), landed in France taken Vichy. Russians we in the Balkans, Bulgaria had turned and Romania was about to fall, and in the North had entered Poland. In the Pacific Dvincera played the IJN well, sinking quite a few American Ships, but missed the Pearl attack. Brits/Indians were into Indochina and about to liberate Singapore. Dvincera1980 siply got off to a slow start and couldn't maintain momentum.

OldAHgamer looking for a new ELO game, will take either side. But i am a traditionalist, so i would like the usual tournament rules plus no early attack on Japan. I can manage 1-2 a day early on and then one a day later, but sometimes get busy and may miss a few days once in a while. Only have one other game now, against Thunderlizard, but that should end soon - in the end game now.

Just to confirm. New ELO game started a little while ago. We're already in October '40.

kjgokc2007 (Allies) vs petedalby (Axis) full game.
Game ended with Allied resignation in May 1946. Germany just too strong. A cracking game. Thanks Kenny!

Please let me know when you'd like the rematch.

I could fancy a game, Axis side. Some games under the belt, need to hone my Axis skills.

ELO Result:

firsteds (allies) defeated Archmache (Axis).

A very close game. The Allies nearly lost the Battle of the Atlantic and ALL convoys, including the vital convoy to Russia, but they were rescued by the US navy (escort carriers - very powerful... and cheap!). Axis surrendered in 1945. Fun game - thanks!

Several ELO ended:
* kjgokc2007 win (Allies) v Thunderlizard11 loss (Axis) - interesting game where Allies went with Pacific first strategy and took down Japan but not until Axis had taken down USSR. Allies then landed wave after wave all over and eventually had Germans back within their borders more or less by Nov '46.

*OldAHgamer win (Axis) versus Thunderlizard11 loss (Allies) - solid win for Axis. Nothing fancy - good drive on Soviets leading to their collapse mid - '45. Japan takes out China late '45 and almost has all of India. Allies diplo Sweden, take Sweden and knock out Italy but not enough to turn tide - well played by OldAHgamer.

*Thunderlizard11 win (Allies) versus arikogut loss (Axis) - excellent game. Allies on verge of total victory but not until Feb '47. arikogut had strong drive into Russia but got turned back in '44 and then it was a battle all the way to Berlin

New ELO started:
kjgokc2007 (axis) v. thunderlizard11 (allies)
arikogut (allies) v. thunderlizard11 (axis)
thunderlizard11 v. ElvisJonesRambo (2 mirrored games)

aquavita (Axis) v EarlyDoors (Allies)
Game finished with Axis resignation in October 1942

Allies delayed fall of france until end of 1940
Then made a pain of themselves in Denmark, Yugoslavia and Greece
The Red Army were on the march when further bloodshed was avoided

Thanks for the game Aquavita

SCOLDGAMER allies defeats thunderlizard11 axis as axis resigns in November 45. Axis fell just short of defeating Russia and then allies succeeded in a near surrender of Germany/Japan.

SCOLDGAMER allies defeats MtTomnus axis in Feb 46. I am claiming victory since axis is in dire situation in both Japan and Germany and MtTomnus has not played a turn or returned email in almost a month.

Thunderlizard11 (allies) defeats SCOLDGAMER (Axis). Axis resigns August 1940 after getting bogged down in France. SCOLDGAMER tried a strategy I haven't seen before of attacking through Maginot and Lux only and not Belgium. It slowed progress down a bit too much however. Apparently, another player used this successfully against SCOLDGAMER - I'd be interested to learn how.
