Hawker Typhoon/Tempest

I'm about to enter 1944 on the monster 700 Turn game.

Is there any way I can stop my Tiffies being replaced by Tempests as I progress, please?
The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind.

Turn off your automatic upgrade, then you can pick your poison.

My apologies, I screwed that up. :oops:

So here goes

At the start of the turn, click on the airfield where the Tiffies reside.

Squadron name will appear with a button.

Click button.

You will then be given a number of options, one of them being change aircraft.

Click that and choose one from the list of aircraft given.

To answer your question, no you can't stop the automatic update, but you can swap the Tempest out for something else or as I explained above, you can change the Typhoon before it happens.

Alas, you can never turn a Tempest back to a Tiffie - or so I've found.

Is there a more tortuous route involving several changes that anyone has found to be able to do that, I wonder?
