Adding Artillery

Am I correct in believing that there is currently no way to add towed 300mm artillery to an existing unit/formation via the "customizer" function the Staff Director provides? I wanted to add some to a missile battery, but instead had to go back and create a motorized artillery battalion and then add missiles to it, which is fine, but it does not help my existing missile formations. As to why I want to do this, don't ask. I just want to.

After customizing an OOB, you can upgrade existing formation to it via Unit Admin, if it is a compatible formation type.

Since the question has been answered, I would like to just point out than you should never mix artillery/rocket launchers/missile launchers/tactical nukes, since each one of them have different max ranges (1, 4, 7 and 4 respectively)

That is not always an issue.
