A quick and stupid question about installation

I haven't installed MWiF in years. I just downloaded the latest installer file and "update" file just to have the latest files. I DO have my serial number. Is that all I need to install. Should I be searching through my email for some other necessary credentials?

I note the use of the word "update". Are there some original files I ought to be hunting down? Because I don't see any sign of MWiF on my computer, other than the two zip files I just downloaded.

You got everything you need to install the game with the downloaded installer (zip) files & your original serial number. Well that is assuming you've downloaded the full installer either from 3.0.1 or 4.4.1 (Beta). You may wish to apply "hot patches" after a full install be we can cover that later after you get one of the two versions installed. Good luck!

I suppose I should have done it first. I did look through my email archive. I purchased the physical option that came with the hard bound manuals, the map pack and apparently I got a DVD as well. I see no sign of this original DVD. But, I burned a copy of those original 1.0.0 files.

So, I have the original files, my serial number, and the 3.x.x files I downloaded just now. I didn't see any hot patches to download. I'm assuming they're posted in one of the MWiF forums. I'll find them, I'm sure.
