This is not a grey area. He stated quite clearly he thought the devs misrepresented the product in its promotion and store. How is that grey?

If he really implied that he thinks that the devs misrepresented the product in the Store he would be very wrong of course, the devs/publishers/Steam left out no info. But it don't think he said that. All he "complained" about is, imo, that Tacview is an integral part in that promo vid even though it is not part of the base game, and that it can be confusing to new buyers, but it doesn't automatically mean that he thinks that they did that to intentionally mislead potentional buyers. That would be ridiculous to assume.

Just so there is no ambiguity, he stated directly that the devs are misrepresenting the product by not including Tacview with CMO on base purchase. The quote is the quote, intention aside.

MW dictionary definition of "misrepresent":

"to give a false or misleading representation of usually with an intent to deceive or be unfair"

If thats not what the OP meant, he could have settled this 12 hours ago. I suspect he's a little too sheepish now. People generally don't expect to get called out on stuff like this, but this one struck me the wrong way with lazy logic.

But you don't watch the video outside the store, and if did, you have to come to the store to buy it. If the only info on the game was the video on the store page, then anyone has a case of deception. Even on Youtube, there's a link to the store. Again, the buyer has some basic responsibility before claim the devs are deceiving them.

You are totally right, no doubt, I think the same. All this is just about is the perception that some potentional customers could have when they see the vid the first time, nothing more. I couldn't care less actually, it's all totally irrelevant anyhow...
