Modifying GUI

Post by SchnelleMeyer »

I am working on a mod with a stratmap that is more elongated than the original GtC stratmap. It is more shaped like the PITF stratmap. I am therefore trying to change the UI screens that display the strat in a static form, namely the Scenario Editor screen and the Debrief screen.

I want to have those screens copying the layout of the similar PITF screens.
So my question: Is this this even possible by modifying the GUI.txt ? - Is there any way I can modify the gadgets, their size and position on the user interface screens?

Edit 1: How/where do I find the gadget and image index number for each gadget?
Edit 2: The GUI.text does not get used by the game when using a mod folder. This was part of my confusion as my edits then didnt seem to do anything.
Edit 3: I figured out the main question by editing the GUI.txt in the main game folder.
