Possible model bug

Post by elmo3 »

Using the latest version. I have a Blitzer and an upgrade to a Blitzer II using the original model. Both appear under the Light Tank section of models. When I click on a Blitzer unit both the Upgrade and Mass Upgrade buttons are greyed out. Hovering over it says "This model type cannot be upgraded." When I click on the Replace or Mass Replace buttons it takes me to the Replace Model screen, but the Blitzer II does no appear there. So there is no way to upgrade or replace my Blitzers to Blitzer II's. Is this a bug, or have I done something wrong.

Do you have the resources cost for the upgrade?

Can't see the resource cost because the choices are greyed out. However I have over 2k metal and 2k Industry points. Should be plenty.

The Replace function takes the replacement models from the SHQ reserves, they need to already be produced in order for anything to show up in the Replace Model screen.
Not affiliated with Slitherine. They added it to my name when they merged the Slitherine and Matrix account systems.

OK, thanks. I guess that is a workaround. Not sure why I can't just upgrade though.

Only infantry modes can be upgraded.

According to Das in his latest video, if a new model makes extensive changes to an old model then you have to do a replace rather than an upgrade. Seems to be more of an issue with armor than infantry. Makes sense since you can't really do major changes to vehicles in the field.
