Is It Possible To Keep The USA Out Of The War?

Post by gsayhi »

Okay, I have been playing a very good game. I'm playing the 1914 Call to Arms scenario, vanilla. My strategy is to
1. Go East first, Not West, and take out Russia first.-Done, Got rid of them in 1916.
2. Not invade Belgium. Since I"m not invading them I'm disabling the script that lets the allies invade them.
3. I tried to get Italy to join me but that doesn't work in this game. However, I did get Switzerland to join but it didn't break the stalemate in the west.
4. The Turks drove the British out of Mesopotamia and Egypt with Austrian help. They also took out Cyprus.
5. Austria, with German and Bulgarian help, conquered Serbia and Greece. Romania was negotiated through diplomacy to stay neutral.
6. No submarine warfare on the U.S. supply lines to Britain. No unrestricted submarine warfare. Navy kept in the Mediterranean and the North sea East of Britain. Did a Great job destroying the British navy as it came to me.
7. No sending the Zimmerman letter or encouraging a Mexican alliance.
8. Now we are invading Britain in 1918.

Okay, here is what I want to know. How do I keep the USA out of the war. I disabled every script that seems to activate them under units, mobilization, decision, and popup scripts. What am I missing?

Offhand I think you've got everything there. Keep an eye on US mobilization - if it ever rises significantly then you will have missed something, but judging by your list, I'd be surprised if it does, so good luck to your invasion of Britain!
