I have been fearing when we are going to lose initiative when we have only 1 CP or TRS in West Med or North Sea. Once OOS, troops in northern or southern France would be in trouble. Once again we dodged the bullet.

We gladly take any units that wishes to fight for us. However, there is no need to search for Allied shipping in the Italian coast at this point. ;)

Heh heh, it would have been more confusing to say Italian sub initiates in Free French Coast.

Ground strike

I asked JJ if USSR is up for an ground strike. Those will be separated from European ground strikes, so I go on and come back tomorrow if needed.

CW ART fires in southern France targeting enemy artillery.

US LND3 bombs Italian units (5-3 INF and 4-3 MIL) in Normandy. No escorting fighters, but Allies can intercept from France with 7,6,6,4 fighters.

Axis have fighters 6,6,5 in range to intercept.

Axis also have AA gun next to target hex.

Italian 4-strength FTR2 NW of Nantes intercepts. Targets enemy bomber, and stays as long as the enemy bomber remains. Lands, if it survives, in hex 55,28 (West Paris).

No AA.

Edit: Location of fighter starting hex was corrected.

Correct, I missed the Italian 4 factor fighter.

CW intercepts with 6 factor fighter.

End of action from tonight, over to JJ for USSR moves (unless there is ground strikes in the east).

I will study history, if there is a good way to proceed from our small beachheads.
