Happened to someone else: different behavior after reload?

Post by 100thMonkey »

I saved a game to attach to a bug report. Before submitting the report, I reloaded the save to check something, but the bug had disappeared! (the bug was that a manual fleet wasn't following my order).

And it happened a few times previously in relation to other bugs and bug reports.

Can't be 100% sure, but I don't think it's my system. I've tested my RAM and SSDs, and they're OK, and my power supply is almost brand new.

So, I'm wondering if anybody else had similar experiences? Because it might be an indication of some yet unknown in-memory corruption problem, or something along those lines, that is somehow eliminated by a game reload. In other words, something that would need to be looked into if others had similar experiences...

Not that in particular... but I have had ships unable to move for some reason until I restarted the game, but this was a few patch cycles ago. This has not happened recently for me.
