Potentially interested, but which side are you wanting to play, since the title and your post contradict each other?

I've got an ongoing game as Japan, so I'm only looking for a game as allied.

4E = four engine aircraft.

Bombers like the US B-17 and B-29 Forts, B-24 Liberators, British Lancasters. Plus, some patrol planes like the Japanese Mavis and Emily, US PB2Y Coronado, British Sunderland, etc.

Sounds logical.

Just for knowledge, what altitude do you have for aircraft during missions? ie do these sound reasonable?
Ground attack - 2000
DB on Naval attack - 1000
Airfield bombing by 2 and 4E- 10000
ASW - 100
Naval search - 3000

Hmmm. Aircraft altitude has been the subject of endless and sometime obsessive debate since the game came out. There is no one set answer to every situation. It often comes down to player preference and experience with the game. I don't have much experience with ground attack as I tend to concentrate on bombing bases and ports.

I tend to fly naval dive bombers at 13,000. Generally you want to fly at the altitude needed for dive, but as high as possible to minimize flak. However, 13k seems to work well with escorting fighters. Some prefer flying them at 10k.

I fly bombers at 8,000 for the most part. Anything below and it seems like the flak really starts to bite. A lot depends on the nature of the bomber and the target. Japanese bombers being a lot more fragile for the most part. Larger bases usually have more AA and barrage balloons to boot.

I generally use 6,000 for Naval Search and 2,000 for anti-submarine patrol. 100 feet sounds like a recipe for higher operational losses. Your mileage may vary.

BTW. I think we're hijacking a thread meant for something else. :oops:
