Shortchanged on T-34/85

Post by jubjub »

Total production in game is 277 per week from 4/44-8/45. This gives about 19,000 T-34/85's. This is well short of historical production by at least half. I think the game may need to introduce the 1943 T-34/85 at an earlier date, and may need to increase t-34/85 production to achieve historical #'s.

What's your source for the production number? Jim wrote: According to Steven Zaloga's book Armored Champion, T-34/85 production through September 1945 was 20,172. We actually build 20,498 through August 1945 so if anything, we are a little high.

I count 21065 if the totals are correct (includes September production). roughly 1k down for September is 20k up to and including August.
Note that the OT-34 flame tanks are part of these totals, not extra on top

My bad, it seems like the source I was looking at included later production runs in the '50s. The T-34/85 m1943 does appear to be missing from the game though.

Yes, the so called model 1943 is the one with the D-5 gun, and is included in the totals in the tables above.
