the principles of Ballistic missile defense ?

Firstly,As shown in attachments, why can't SM-3 missile intercept ballistic missiles in altitude range? It display "Target will impact before intercept is feasible"?

secondly,
Sometimes, the other errors is displayed like "interception point is below weapon minimum target attitude"

thirdly,
Where can I learn all the reasons why I can't intercept?

You need to make sure that you have some ABM radars (ABM Search and Track) online,
You need your arleigh burke standing quite close to area of ballistic missile future impact,
so interceptor (SM-3,THAAD..) will be able to connect w/ballistic missile with lowest angle possible.

By your screens, it seems that there is no mathematical solution for interceptor to climb in cosmos, and connect to vampire before its too late..

You want:
ABM Radar, SM-3 Ship/Ashore close as possible to defending location, THAAD and Patriot right on site
(SM-3 is kinda middle intercept, THAAD and Patriot is last wall standing. You cannot engage close range with SM-3, but your Patriot can and vice versa).



You can check save and see where is THAAD located in South Korea to intercept missiles from NK,China and Russia,
many of NK Nodong's shot down by THAAD, lasts finished
Also you can switch to PRC side and launch missions with DF's heading to Guam or CSG's to see SM-3 in work
