Hesitant

So I see Admirals Edition is currently on sale. I have the older verson and have been for some time thinking of getting the newer edition but worry about throwing money out the window.

Do you have to jump through a lot of hoops get this running on a new machine running windows 11? Running a new 12th gen Intel i9 processor with windows 11.

Thank You

You will have to set up command line switches, but there is a utility available, SeaBee, that will help you set it up.

Here is a link to SeaBee

Not sure what you meant about getting the newer version - the current official version (original game plus 1126 (a or b) patch) is being worked on to produce a final version. When that final version is ready it will be a free patch, so there is no need to wait for it now to save money - buy the game now for the bargain price before it goes up again!

The OP is probably referring to this game's 2004 predecessor. Gary Grigsby's War in the Pacific, The Struggle Against Japan 1941-45.

It's well worth it. As mentioned earlier use the seabee program to setup the switches and you'll be fine 🙂....GP

Game is on 80% sale right now.

No reason not to buy, since there is nothing else comparable to WitP-AE in depth, scale and complexity combined with entertainment value.

If Pacific War interests you, get the game. It did cost me more than the game...Amazon got lot of money, me buying quite a few books about that theater of war.
