Thank you for posting this, she really needs the work to save her.

The turnout to see her was pretty huge. I had tried to get down to Seawolf Park to get some photos of her with the USS Stewart (DE-238) and USS Cavalla (SS-244) in the foreground, but the line to get in and parked was way too long to make it in time. Managed in the end to get some much further away views and photos from a location on Galveston Island instead.

Whole bunch of history there. This was long overdue.

For the folks who are not too familiar with Texas illustrious history of now over 100 years, like I was, let me link the Wikipedia article. It is a worthwhilre read indeed:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Texas_(BB-35)

I gleaned that she was in pretty good condition at the end of WW2 as she avoided ever getting severely damaged. The present damage is mostly due to the some forty years in the water without much servicing work and neglect until the mid/late eighties. A bit sad of course, but I guess her future looks much better now.

Ignorant's question (never played a full campaign yet): Do we get to see her later in the game? It's stated she came to the Pacific theatre in 1944.

She shows up late in the grand campaign scenarios. But not as late as some.
