Noumea reinforcements

Post by Mark VII »

I have done search's for Noumea, capture, reinforcement and I am not finding anything on what happens to Allied reinforcements at Noumea should Noumea be captured by the Japanese. Do the Allies loose the reinforcements (naval/air/ground)from PH or are they moved to Brisbane? Can any one help me?

I think most, if not all will appear at Brisbane...

If you lose Noumea or Brisbane then you're up to your neck in it. If I lost either i would just about concede, unless I knew i was in a position to get them back quickly

In present game I am the Japanese and have multiple assault TF's two days from Noumea. Depending on the winds of war in the upcoming battle, was wondering if the fall of Noumea was going to be the knockout punch I'm hoping it will be.

I have captured Noumea against an opponent and it not only stops reinforcement, if he should re-capture Noumea, the reinforcements are delayed from coming on line. It is very difficult to keep Noumea in supply and to defend against a determined allied player. I lost Noumea after a couple of months due to my inability to get enough fuel for my CVs (and brought 100,000 units with me!). Though the allied player gets no ships, he does get troops and planes in Brisbine and can bomb Noumea into the stoneage. However, it is now May.1943 and my opponent is still affected by the delay in his replacments.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Noumea is the port of arrival for combat ships, but not for non-combat vessels, right? Brisbane still receives AP's and TK's, right?

I have never received ships at Brisbine. If Noumea is captured, no ships arrive.

That is my experience as well.
