Interdiction

Post by Cavalry Corp »

Hi Guys,

Interdiction affect only happen in your opponents next turn is that correct?

So 1 interdiction adds I MP extra to enter that hex, no CPP gain and also adds to supply route cost - yes? Can it damage trucks passing through the hex?

Seems to me the loss of planes generally in doing this seems not worth the cost though I am experimenting. I suppose a level over say 4 or 5 is going to have a good effect.

What does it mean when you check interdiction you see the small plane on the map when its quite high??

An interdict can be useful in the following cases. For the advancing side, to pin down the enemy infantry, so that it could not move quickly. In this case, it is necessary to organize a non=0 interdict over a large space.

For the defender, the interdict can also be useful in conditions when the infantry cannot catch up with the tanks in the breakthrough, hindering its maneuver.

An interdict could make it more expensive to travel across rivers. For large numbers, make forcing very unprofitable.

The interdict is now quite weak for the efforts that need to be made so that it begins to make an effect, and if we take into account that the effect of aviation is not momentary, but accumulates gradually, then it generally does not make much sense.

For an interdict to be truly useful, it must be strengthened.

There are other benefits that I feel are being over-looked. I am only seeing mentioned the MP's. I implore all to take a deeper dive on "interdiction" and the "effects" interdiction has. I have done preliminary test on my way of thinking on how "interdiction" should be used and the results are promising.

Again, I am emphasizing "EFFECTS" and not "MP's effects".

I will post some snippets here for pondering. There are more but the "effects" for affecting are pretty nice.

Of course maybe I am totally wrong and everyone else is right. But I do like my preliminary results I studied a few months ago and will be implementing them in game shortly. (when I have enough freight at the front that is :( )

The problem is that the effectiveness of the ban is very difficult to assess and at first glance its effects are almost invisible. There is no way in the game to evaluate this. It remains only to believe the manual. But the loss of aircraft is felt immediately, so I personally protect my aircraft.
Sorry, i use an online translator :(

I would like to see interdiction a viable feature of the air combat system.

Some of this info looks promising.
