PO question

Post by RedAss »

Why for the love of God do the formations NOT follow the objectives I set up for them?

Tried putting more objectives in between.

Tried putting less.

Tried limit losses. Tried ignore losses.

Tell me there is a secret.

There is an amount of Randomization, so the PO will often not follow orders exactly.

Also note that Elmer cannot 'see' the map like we can. He moves following some blind logic paths. He cannot see that he is trying to move across terrain that he cannot actually move thru [Excluded, Unplayable, Flooded Marsh, Sea, etc.]. He will spend the whole scenario bouncing up against the same impassable hexes instead of finding a path around. Why? Because he is trying to follow the Orders he is given! lol.

Post some screen shots if you want to and if you have the time. We might be able to lend some help.

Are any of your objectives located in friendly held hexes? If so, the PO will ignore them and head for the next enemy held objective. Try setting formation General Orders on Independent and see how they respond.

Kills me when they come in ONE HEX away from their first two objectives, which are due east. Then I watch them head out in the other three directions to attack units 5 hexes away.

Hats off to you scenario developers. Hard, tedious work.

No to the first -- but will try the second!
