They have lost 463 aviation points. And still they are at 249 aviation points better than the starting points of 200.
They have lost 142 naval points, starting at 154 naval points. And they still have 140 naval points.
They have lost 904 land points, starting at 1179 land points. And they still have 1101 land points.

Production is a little overpowered or am I doing something wrong?

I have always felt Japan is a little to strong, one thing is Japan starts with ALL the cvs that they built historically in the queue the US is not even close, so Japan can just build land forces the US has to build a lot of ships

If you look in Ellis's WW2 Databook you will find Japan produced more ships than were sunk over all.
The difference is the US built so many more.

Their airforce was also larger.

As was their army.

Same thing for Germany. 1939 3k a/c, 1944 ~5k a/c
Kursk the Germans had 3,000 tanks. They started Barbarossa with 3,000 tanks which were also the same # as the Battle of France.

Right and I know why. In this game, I am six months late compared to the historical pace. In another game, I did not let Japanese enough time to build up its economy. Here, numbers are much more balanced. An early sub warfare campaign is the key for me.
