Captured Russian Equipment

Post by OberstVonWitz »

Why does this game have NOT captured Soviet equipment - most especially guns.
Rifles would also be in large numbers. The same can be said for trucks even though these may be temporary.

Lastly, prisoners could be used either as production pool (increase overall German output) or as town labor or security.

In other words, some benefit from the booty.

This a very "anti- German game in this respect/.

Check the production tab-- scroll to the very bottom (for equipment). As for Soviet prisoners (those that are still alive after the 41-42 winter)- Hilfswiger (Hiwis) are integrated into German divisional TOEs starting in early 42.
Plenty of this captured equipment is either being sent to Axis satellites or being converted for German use (e.g., 76.2 gun on Marder/ Panzer Jaeger II).

Production screen has default of "show all nations" - you won't see captured equipment there. You need to filter to Germany (or Soviet Union on the other side) to see captured stuff.

I have no idea how you find that. I'm thinking of 100's of trucks and artilery mostly.

Press P for production screen, then click on 'Germany' in the upper right, then scroll the left side display of elements down to the bottom. Captured equipment appears at the bottom of the list. This equipment gets imported/converted into elements used by Germany and its Allies, like the 76.2mm Pak36(r) AT Gun.
