[FIXED] Has Flight Plan Editor Been Moved?

Post by DWReese »

I'm using version 82.
I have single plane on a bombing mission.
I click on Mission, and I expect to find the Flight Plan Editor at the bottom of the screen like it used to be.
It's not there.
I played around and highlighted the Escorts button.
The Flight Plan Editor for my single plane strike is found under the Escort section.
Is this a mistake?
I happens with every scenario, so I believe that it may have somehow been misplaced during the rebuild.

If you go to the Mission, and then to the page where the ESCORTS are located, and click on that, then the FLIGHT PLAN for the STRIKE AIRCRAFT is present. I don't believe that that is how it should be. I don't know why you would click on ESCORTS to get the FLIGHT PLAN EDITOR for the STRIKE aircraft. Perhaps I'm missing something.

Ok thanks for the info on the ESCORT tab but I'm still unable to create a flight plan still can't locate that button it was the third one that is now missing. have you found a work around for that.
I've got my 4 f-35s assigned, my target selected, it shows 1 target in green up in the top left mission box. I've tried with both the "use pre-generated flight plans only" and "one time only auto generation by mission ai" and I still do not get a mission generated so I can go edit way points, set up refueling points etc.
Any Luck?

thanks

If you go to the air ATO, select the flight you want to edit, and then click the edit Flightplan button at the bottom, you can edit it. Clickety click click click...

I think having an ATO or edit flight plan would be great. Not sure if its throwing me because I'm used to having it or that maybe it should logically be there.

I wonder why they made this change. It was convenient planning the mission route via the mission page but now it has to be done under ESCORTs or the ATO? Planning the route for the main package under ESCORTS seems strange to me.

I totally agree.

Hi guys, this change was definitely not a deliberate one. I got lost when ordering the myriad of buttons on the Mission Editor and didn't double-check the visibility of all the elements.
The issue is now fixed.

Thanks for your patience
