Squad unelectable after click off it

Post by cblattmann »

I moved my first squad and deselected it because I wanted to move a second squad in position that was just freed by the first squad. I noticed that the first squad, even though I had movement points left, was no longer selectable to finish its movement. Why does the game not allow me to finish the movement?

Also, an undo button would be nice nothing had been learned or discovered (when, playing FOW). Have moved pieces by accident (e.g. selected one squad and the wanting to select another and the first squad moved into the hex with the second squad).

I am in the process of learning and getting used to the game.

You are right in that the movement phase for a unit, after started, is terminated when a hex is selected outside of its offered movement hexes. This is one of the worst aspects of V&V and I have pointed it out on every beta testing. You are wrong about the inclusion of an undo button; even if nothing is discovered with FOG enabled then that in itself is infformation in respect of enemy locations. Please pray for V&V to change their absolutely rubbish movement phase rules.

To change the way movement is handled seems to be a small thing to implement. Hope they will do it because it is annoying. How about right clicking instead of left clicking again. I personally like who movement is done in WITE2.

Not hung up on the Undo feature. The movement thing is more important.
