Please post "no early end " for 1942-45 scenario

Post by tiger111 »

Earlier this year Joel Billings kindly posted an edited version of the 42-45 Stalingrad scenario. Hower it did not work as I lost at the beginning of `45.and it terminated the scenario.

Would someone please post an edited version so that I can replay the scenario/campaign

I wish there was an option to continue despite victoty conditions being met. The game is expensive and I would prefer if it doesnt terminate an enjoyable scenario.

thankyou

Even in the no Early end scenario, there is a very important check on the first January turn in 1945. If the Soviets have not met that check they lose. I can appreciate players wanting to play all the way to the end, but that check is not handled by the data in the VP screen, so it would require additional programming to remove that check. We also consider that check as an integral part of the victory system in the game, both to encourage the German player to score a high High Watermark, and so the Soviets are pressured to obtain decent results quickly, setting conditions for their overrunning Eastern Europe. Perhaps in the future if there is enough demand, we can rig this into the victory data or as a game option. Alternatively, a way to continue on after declaring a German win could be added, but again, that requires added programming with some complications. Once the next official version is released (in the next few weeks), I'll upload the latest version of StoB converted into No Early End for those interested. This will still have the January 1945 victory check.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Thank you Joel for your reply.

I would definitely welcome a selectable game option to defeat the early finish.

It is irritating to say the least to be bumped out of an enjoyable game, and not least the time devoted to it.

Please do post and upgraded file at rhe next upgrade.

Please mention my thoughts to Pavel or Gary.

P.S. how is Steel Tigers getting on ?????

Thank you
