Political Point Allocation!

Post by Capt Cliff »

It seems to me that the amount of PP points awarded is insufficient to utilize all the cards, especially all the Officer cards, at your disposal! The Allies seem to be especially handicapped by the number of points allotted! I am playing the big Wacht Am Rhein campaign. I have modded it but I have not touch the PP points as of yet. Anyone else notice this?

Playing WaR as Germans I always have not enough PP points for what I'd like to do. It seems designed like this.

There is no such thing as a historically accurate strategy game. Every game stops being accurate from the very first move player make. The first unit that moves ahistorically, first battle with non-historical results, means we ride into the unknown.

I am playing solitare with WaR modded; more historic setup (the 1st SS and 12 SS PZD's are not on the line), altered reinforcement turns, I've added some units (for example the 526th Armored infantry battalion), I relocated units on Skyline Drive, and I have problems with the Allies having just enough PP for air and reinforcements. Forget about PP for leaders or bridges or depots. I have altered the PP table and will be testing it.

Yes, you have to make tough choices as the German, unless things go unusually well. As the Allies, I found I had more points than I could use, at least in the early turns. I would use every card and still have leftover PP, which would keep accumulating. Eventually, though, if I kept using replacement cards, they would get pretty expensive.
