Hi Rusco.

I have a copy of it. I recall when this thread was posted previously the author of the campaign responded with the hyperlink. However, I don't remember who the author was or the hyperlink. If he doesn't post a response here soon, I can either try and post the five zip files here (each between 450-500k) or send them to you via email attachment. I don't know what the restrictions are for posting files here.

There's still some problems with file attachments here. I'm interested in getting this campaign, too. If you can e-mail it to me, use my alternate e-mail addy, which is bassman@spwaw.com. Who was the author of this campaign, and which version of SPWaW was it designed with? If it's pre-7.1, then it may need to be updated to present OOB standards.
However, for Pacific war fans, this is one of the great "what-ifs". I'd love to check it out. [:)]

Gunny, I think the one being talked about was by Rolandrahn. I seem to remember there bieing an undate to it just before the forums got hit so of course those posts are ????? but I have the original. Called Operation Downfall, timeline is November 1945 through ???? and preusmes no Atomics. A what-if.

Gunny, Rusco, I sent the five files to the both of you. Let me know if you don't get them.

Jim's info was correct--it is called Operation Downfall and Roland Rahn sounds correct as the author.

KG, it looks like my last two files I sent you kicked your SPWAW mailbox over quota. You might want to go in and delete the others if you already got them from Jim. Sorry about that.

Rusco, I did find a version 2 of this one buried in my save files. I think this was the latest update before the hacker incident. Is the one you have v.1 or v.2?

Alright, I have the campaign files but the problem is this--the purchase screens are empty when I run the campaign , because I've got the new 8.2 OOBs in my database. If this campaign was written for 7.1, then obviously for 8.2 it is completely unusable. This one will have be rewritten, and I no longer have the 7.1 OOBs. The OOB compatibility issue once again rears its ugly head.
However, we're intending 8.2 to be the last word for SPWaW OOB updates. From here on out, you guys are on your own. I'm still tweaking the USMC for my own personal use, but I'm nearly done with them as far as official releases are concerned. There still may be a few tweaks here and there, but this can be handled by the true update mechanism.

Note to Jim and/or IB: can you send this campaign to Bill Wilder? I told him about it, and he didn't know it existed. I was unable to forward it to him. Thanks!
