Game crashes when launching in Steam

Hi, I am having trouble loading SC WWII World at War from Steam. Every time i attempt to load by hitting the green button on the game tile in the Steam library, i get the synchronizing files message and then the whole app just shuts down. It also happens when right click on the steam button and start the game that way. I have rolled back my graphics driver, uninstalled and reinstalled Steam, and searched the web and done all the recommended steps listed at this post https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/so ... indows-10/ that was recommended on the Matrix forum. My only solution is to keep loading the game, and every once in a while, maybe 1 in 15, the game will load. has anyone encountered this problem and are there any solutions?

It sounds like it might be a Steam Cloud issue on your end, maybe? e.g. perhaps due to a network issue, or some sort of file synchronization issue.

Other than that, it might be worth trying to disable 'Steam Cloud'. If you navigate to your game in the Steam Library, then right click on it, and select Properties, in the General tab, you'll the Steam Cloud option. Try disabling that to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks Hubert, I'll try that later. it fires about 1 in 15 times, i finally got it working Sunday, so i am just leaving the game menu screen open all the time. But next time my computer shuts down on me for an update i'll try that.
