Accuracy of Printed Manual Post Patches?

Post by msinnot1 »

I am considering upgrading my digital version to the physical edition for the printed manual. As I've not learned the game yet, can anyone tell me how heavily the patches have changed the rules in the physical manual? Is reading the physical manual still a good way to learn the game?

On the basic level, the release manual is still fine. Once you get in the woods of "what exactly are first winter penalties for Germany", "CPP management" and "what is the optimal distance from lower-level to higher-level HQ", you will be better suited by the living manual, but the differences will not make you lose a campaign.
